Part-Time Content Writer Needed

Company Overview:

Agapay is a payment processing company that gives back to the community by donating 5% of profits to nonprofits and charities. We are located in Orange County, Southern California. Our company is growing and we are looking to expand our marketing force. We currently have a great team of VA's in PH and looking to expand to keep up with the fast-paced growth of the company.

- Available to work from 11:30 PM till 3:00 AM / Mon-Fri
- Bachelors in Marketing, English, Journalism or related


Responsibilities:

- Researching industry-related topics
- Writing clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
- Preparing well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
- Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
- Submit work for input and approval
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
- Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
- Promote content on social media
- Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
- Update website content as needed


Qualifications:

- Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role (3+ years)
- Portfolio of published articles
- Bachelors in Marketing, English, Journalism or related
- Familiarity with web publications
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English
- Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
- Strong understanding of the target audience and industry trends.
- Experience in a marketing agency or Public Relations agency
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in content writing marketing materials such as flyers and brochures
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Graphic Design Software is a plus
- Experience with creating info-graphics is a plus
- Stable Internet connection
