The role consists of cold calling the public regarding the government ECO scheme. You will be speaking to people whom do not have access to mains gas at their property, and therefore have to heat their home by expensive means such as an OIL/LPG boiler, or electric heating such as storage heaters.
The Government ECO Scheme provides entirely free replacement boilers for people whom have OIL, LPG or electric storage heating, as long as they claim a government benefit such as Pension Credit.
The role is therefore focused on cold calling the British public, informing them of the scheme, and ascertaining if they are claiming the correct benefits to proceed with a free boiler or electric storage heater replacement.
The role involves logging into a predictive dialer using your web browser and wearing a headset in order to be ready for calls to connect to you via the headset. When a call connects, you will hear a beep in your headset,
and the customer’s details will appear on the screen to start pitching the customer.
A script will be provided and agents are encouraged to use at least the intro part of the script close to word for word.
Once you find a customer which claims the correct benefits, it is very easy to persuade them to have an entirely free replacement heating system. You will then “Hot Key Transfer” the leads to a senior adviser in our head office whom will arrange a survey with the customer.
The role requires you to work at least 4 consecutive hours on the dialer, and a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Ideally, you will work 30-40 hours per week. The hours you can work are between 9am and 6pm UK standard time.
We pay £70 per booked appointment generated by you. You will find out immediately after transferring the client if they were booked. All leads will be booked as long as the correct criteria is in place, and the customer is willing.
Your target is 2 appointments per day. The hard part is finding the people on benefits, it is approximately 1 in 80 people you will speak to whom are on benefits.
And you can speak to 200-300 people per day over a 9 hour shift. 1 in 80 people are consistently on benefits over our statistics, however you must keep in mind that this is like flipping a coin, there is a 1 in 2 chance a coin will land on heads or tails, but it can go 10 flips in a row and land on heads every time with bad luck, it is the same for this, you must persevere, and it will average out at approximately 2 appointments per day and 1 in 80 conversion.
We pay £70 per appointment, on the Friday of each week for what you have done the previous Thursday to Thursday.
Applicants should have some Call Centre experience, and be able to speak good English, and be able to communicate effectively over the telephone, using basic sales skills such as correct voice tonality, using the customer’s name and building rapport.
