Who I am:
As a busy Insurance agent I’m looking for someone to set appointments for me so I can spend more time in the field helping families. I sell mortgage protection, Whole & Term Life, Final Expense Insurance and Annuities. I live and work in the Houston Texas area but sometimes travel to other areas to work.
The Job:
You’ll need to seat me with 20-25 clients per week to be successful.
The leads you will be calling I have purchased. The leads have responded to a mail out so, they will have an idea of why you are calling making it easier to set the appointment. The age of the lead will vary. Should several attempts be made to set it then schedule a door knock and I’ll just go by there. It’s a best practice to set appointments for the next 24-48 hours of the day you are calling. You can squeeze in same day appointments just communicate with me before you do. Once the appointment is set you’ll then update the calendar and move on to the next one. The training program will go over this in detail.
I’m looking for 5 appointments a day minimum, and reschedule the no-shows. You’ll have a higher success ratio in the afternoon but I’ll let you dedicate that. There will be occasional times on the schedule blocked out by me for various reasons (traveling, conference calls, admin time) but you can just schedule around them. The leads will be grouped in areas of Houston. Please understand the Houston area can difficult to get around during rush hour so try and group the appointment together. I don’t expect you to completely know all the Houston traffic patterns but common sense and google maps can go a long way. A good appointment takes 60-90 minutes and 30 minutes between appointments is recommended. When setting the appointment you'll want to give a 30 minute window.
*You are not selling insurance with the phone call, just set the appointment.
Training:
You will be given access to several very informative videos of live dials from top appointment setters in the company. This should take 2-3 hours and then you’ll take a test at the end. At that point a professional like yourself should be able to take it and run.
