3 Feedback
We are a software firm focusing on applicant tracking systems for HR firms/staffing/temp agencies. We are just breaking out of our beta clients, and need to get some real world feedback on how best to direct our future marketing investments and communication strategy.
Tasks would include:
1. Understanding the HR applicant tracking system market.
2. Understanding our software and where it fits within that market.
3. Identifying receptive market sectors through actually contacting and pitching our service to them.
4. Generating meaningful data as to why potential clients would or wouldn't choose us, and which clients/market segments those are.
5. Generating helpful suggestions to improve our technical offerings or marketing focus based upon client needs, and an ability to sell them on our service.
6. Getting a handful of first clients in and using our system (we can offer core features for free indefinitely just to get them in and using our system and providing us feedback).
We're pretty much starting from zero on the sales and marketing side, so expect to have to compensate for a lack of marketing material or testimonials with good verbal communication skills, and a thorough understanding of what we do and how it can serve clients' needs when interfacing with potential clients. Plan on spending time on the phone communicating rather than e-mail time or making up a brochure or anything at this point.
The first steps would be a tour of our software (we have documentation and a narrated screencast for you to reference), taking a look at a few competitor's websites, reviewing our feature list, and from there, finding good organizations to make cold calls to and actually making those calls.
